| Ted Stuckless
Ted Stuckless was born in 1948
in Twillingate, an island community off Newfoundland's northeast coast.
Here he has continued to work, paint, and find inspiration all his life.
Ted has earned a reputation as one of Newfoundland's foremost painters.
His work appears in private, public, and corporate collections around
the world. He is a self-taught artist who works in oils, pen and ink,
and wood. Much of his work captures and preserves the essence of
Newfoundland's traditional way of life. Many of his images also explore
spiritual, meta-physical, and biblical themes. Ted's interests include
the study of history and religion, music, inventing, and experimenting
with electronics and pyramidology. His studio is in the upper loft of
what was once his father's general store. Built in 1914 along the
shoreline of Twillingate's North Side, the
building is home to a distinctive pyramid-shaped skylight under which
the artist paints.
